it will still be pleasant to be outside and a chance of rain not forecast next week. santa rosa and oakland the same as yesterday, san jose, hayward, concord, one to five degrees warmer. where does that put us? mid-to-upper 60's in santa rosa, napa, fremont, 69, the warm spots and san francisco and richmond and concord and san jose. headed to monterey bay and underland, everyone in the upper 60's to low 70's with total sunshine. tonight, the temperatures are mid-30's to low 40's inland and not as frosty as this o around napa or as foggy and san francisco is warmer at 49 degrees. high pressure is dominating our weather and kink up to the north which is the energy moving over the top of the high and moving away from us and i think we will be high and dry through the weekend which is unfortunate because we are living in our third driest january here in san francisco with half an inch and we have only had a third in oakland and two-thirds of an inch in san jose. we need more rain and mountain snow. it is just not out there with temperatures near 70 today and tomorrow and our warmest spot and lo

anywhere from a quarter mile up in santa rosa. you see all the cloud cover isn't producing any rain. not today. we still have a strong ridge of high pressure in control. but filtered sunshine today and we will notice with the mild temperatures to start out, it will be a cooler afternoon because that solar radiation being blocked a little bit from the high and low clouds. 43 napa. good morning, fairfield. one of the cooler spots at 49. it's 46 half moon bay. 36 in san jose and plenty of low clouds here, allowing for reduced visibility from watsonville to monterey. the worst spot is up here, santa rosa, quarter mile visibility. six miles visibility in the inland east base and livermore. we will look at the hazy afternoon sunshine. the fog lifts. we will still have the high clouds. temperatures on the mild side. certainly not as mild as yesterday. no more 70s but some low to mid-60s. cooler days will arrive by the middle of next week and we do have some rain finally to talk about. it looks like by the end of the upcoming work week. beach hazard once again tonight through tomorrow morni

inland valleys out toward santa rosa. 56 in san francisco. and the seven-day forecast warms things up. mid 60s around the bay area thursday and friday. and then a cooldown with a few extra clouds for the weekend. weather looks good. tracking issues in the north bay, mike? >> we'll look at this live shot of san rafael. as we take it to full screen around the bend northbound taillights i saw chp flashing lights. they pulled someone over. they had a discussion and made their way off the freeway. clear from lanes though. we'll look at maps and show you what else is going on. 101 both directions between richmond san rafael bridge and the exit we do have construction going on in either direction. no slowing. only a lane or two blocked right now. light flow of traffic. richmond san rafael bridge from the right. on that bridge we do have a vehicle stalled reported coming past the toll plaza. you can see that little yellow blip there making your way over the water and that westbound deck is having to deal with that stalled vehicle. it sounds like it's on the shoulder. narrow shoulder there. a

earlier. numbers are going to warm up each day. today, 63 in santa rosa. 60 in napa. it was 60 in oakland. highs tomorrow, going to be more 60s. low 60s out there. the gem is well to the north. we need rain, we're not going to get it. we're going to stay high and dry through this five-day forecast. and most likely into parts of the next one. there's the scattered showers around donner summit, and echo summit. the overnight lows, 33 in santa rosa. 33 in napa. these temperatures kind of cool. fog a real possibility. ice, frost, basically what you saw this morning you will see tomorrow morning. as you warm up in the afternoon hours, this fog will burn off. most of the fog will be towards the delta towards fairfield. for the most past, that fog will burn off pretty rapidly. the forecast for tonight, very cold. fog shows up. maybe some ice on the windshields tomorrow morning. that's it. slightly warmer tomorrow afternoon by a few dresses. the extended forecast, dry and mild. tuesday afternoon, nothing is going to happen. i just want you to see the computer model bears this out. all the rain st

are looking at some fog, as well, with quarter mile visibility santa rosa, three miles half moon bay. san jose and hayward this morning. so be careful out there. napa also looking at reduced visibility. so that fog will lift, but we will still have that filtered sunshine. hazy afternoon skies. it is a spare the air day today with high pressure still in control. we are looking at really a mild pattern for the weekend. carolina days, though, will arrive by about tuesday and we will be looking at a chance of rain coming in by thursday and friday. dangerous sneaker waves with the coast today so good idea to look for -- prepare for that as if you are headed out to the coast because of the mild temperatures. here's a look at the high clouds streaming up from the south and. we there's an area of low pressure and that will allow for some filtered sunshine. but high pressure is still in control. we have a front offshore but with the high allowing for some of that cloudiness. we will stay mild with low 60s. the strong ridge will be in place for today and tomorrow. but into the middle part of next week i
